This board is a Modbus TCP/IP to Serial Modbus converter board. It is very useful for connecting a serial device, with Modbus protocol, to an Ethernet-based SCADA system. There are three types of isolated serial outputs available (i.e. RS-485). It converts received TCP/IP Modbus commands to serial Modbus format and sends them to the serial slave device(s) connected to it, and also converts the response from a slave, in serial Modbus format, to Modbus TCP/IP format and sends it to the master over Ethernet.

This module is a Serial (TTL)-to-Ethernet converter module. It is very useful for connecting a legacy serial device to an Ethernet network. It supports a virtual mode of operation, in which the board can be configured as a PC COM port — enabling legacy application software based on a standard PC COM port to run seamlessly.

This is an 8-channel 16-bit analogue input board with an additional 4 channels of digital input and 8 channels of digital open-collector output. The ADC used is of sigma-delta type with high accuracy, and the sampling rate is programmable through MODBUS registers. The 4 digital inputs are multipurpose — usable as a simple digital input, a resettable counter, or an RPM counter. The card has an RS-232/422/485 interface supporting the MODBUS RTU protocol.
